多益TOEIC測驗是 Test of English for International Communication 的簡稱。多益係針對非以英語為母語之人士所設計的英語能力檢定測驗，測驗分數反映受測者在國際職場環境中與他人以英語溝通的熟稔程度。 TOEIC 是以職場為基準點的英語能力測驗中，目前世界最頂級的考試。全球有超過四千家企業使用多益測驗，每年有超過200萬人應試，而台灣近年來因應國際化之趨勢，參加多益考試人數不斷增加。

TOEIC多益測驗屬於紙筆測驗，時間為兩小時，總共有200題，全部為單選題。 分作兩大部分：聽力與閱讀，兩者分開計時。
▲TOEIC聽力測驗總共有一百題，由錄音帶播放考題，共有四大題。考生會聽到各種各類英語的直述句、問句、短對話以及短獨白，然後根據所聽到的內容回答問題。聽力的考試時間大約為四十五分鐘。
▲TOEIC閱讀測驗總共有一百題，題目及選項都印在題本上。考生須閱讀多種題材的文章，然後回答相關問題。考試時間為七十五分鐘，考生可在時限內依自己能力調配閱讀及答題速度。

New TOEIC 口說與寫作測驗的題型為何？
目前ETS在日本及韓國提供了 New TOEIC 口說與寫作測驗的網路練習版，推測將來實際測驗時，口說部份將會測驗考生在發音、文法、字彙以及內容理解上的能力，測驗時間約二十分鐘；而寫作測驗則除了評量考生的文法、字彙之外，也評量考生的組織能力以及是否能支持自己的論點等，測驗時間約一小時。
